I have been learning to write for 18 years now. When I gave my heart to Christ, 18 years ago, I started writing poems. They weren’t anything of great significance, they just rhymed. Five years later, I wrote a devotion. I didn’t know I wrote a devotion, until a friend of mine said it read like one. I have been learning to write them ever since.
In the mean time, I have gone to Mt. Hermon, California, 3 times to attend their annual Christian Writers Conference. I have learned how to better structure my writing, and get advice from freelance writers, editors, and authors. Also, taking an English 101 class has helped me tremendously.
I have lived in Washington state all of my 37 years. I am currently attending Church For All Nations (www.churchforallnations.org ) in Tacoma, Washington, and loving it. I have helped out in many ministries at my church, including youth and tech. I taught as a youth leader for 4 years, and am currently in the tech ministry full time. I really love video production, and received my Associates degree in Digital Design from Pierce College in 2006. I have filmed and produced a promotional video for an after school program, and National Day of Prayer for Pierce County, Washington, as well as numerous other video projects. I hope to continue my pursuit of video production later on in life.
